Stop Serial Cat Killer Before More Pets Are Slaughtered

Target: Croydon Borough Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Andy Tarrant

Goal: Take urgent action to catch and stop a serial killer who has been killing and mutilating cats.

Over 50 cats and other animals have been found murdered, eviscerated and dismembered in various boroughs of South London, especially in Croydon. These actions have been described as “ritualistic” killings and have been perpetrated against local family pets for the past two years.

Local residents and animal rescue charities have been banding together and raising funds to catch the so-called “Cat Ripper of Croydon” but the police have reportedly taken little action to catch the killer and protect local pets.

Actor Martin Clunes, who grew up in Croydon, has joined the list of celebrities urging authorities to take this matter seriously. In a letter to London’s Metropolitan Police Service, Clunes asked the police to step up their efforts to catch the perpetrator. While killing animals is horrid in and of itself, Clunes and many others note that animal abuse often predicts violence against humans, making it urgent to stop the cat killer to protect not only pets but local residents as well.

Sign this petition demanding law enforcement take urgent action to catch the perpetrator of these vile acts and thus protect local pets and people from future attacks.

Dear Chief Superintendent Tarrant,

As you are no doubt aware, a spate of “ritualistic” cat killings have been reported in Croydon and South London lately, with over 50 animals being murdered and mutilated. While residents and animal rescue charities have banded together and raised funds to catch the killer, local police have reportedly not taken enough action to protect local pets and residents.

Researchers in psychology, criminology and law enforcement have long known that there is a strong link between animal abuse and violence towards humans. It is therefore extremely urgent to catch and stop the perpetrator of these gruesome acts.

I urge you to step up efforts to find and convict the person responsible for the cat murders, thus protecting local pets and people and bringing justice to the innocent animals who lost their lives.

There’s probably some ‘health and safety’ reason behind the lack of progress!! They can’t save drowning people, finding this sick bastard will be down to luck!

  2. These are dangerous Rotten people with no shred of compassion. What next, CHILDREN & THE ELDERLY? Please find these barbaric asses.

  3. Boudicca Rising says:

Hi this is Boudicca from South Norwood Animal Rescue & Liberty. We are working with the police to solve these crimes and have to say we are very happy with the police’s involvement and response, so we are not sure why this petition has been started.

  4. I’d be keeping my cat/s either IN, or supervised outdoors and WITH me at all times, if shit like this was happening around me. Oh wait, I always practiced such safety measures REGARDLESS, because I’m not naive or foolish with the sacred lives of animals! Unfortunately, that doesn’t protect any homeless, stray or feral ones. They’d better catch this sicko “yesterday”!
