Target: Manatee, Florida County Attorney Mitchell Palmer
Goal: Help ensure maximum penalties for farm owners who had five horses that were allegedly found malnourished and thin.
Five extremely malnourished horses, owned by a family who’d reportedly been found guilty of animal abuse in the past, were siezed by deputies. The couple who owned the farm was reportedly found guilty of eight counts of animal cruelty after the first raid, and now their daughter and son-in-law face possible animal abuse charges for the five horses. A spokesperson for the county sheriff’s office described the horses as thin and malnourished.
Deputies say when they raided this same farm just a year ago, they seized over 300 animals. It appears this family has no regard for other life and they have no business taking in more animals after having a history of animal cruelty.
The family farm should be banned from ever being able to own any more animals as they’re apparently cruel and neglectful towards them. Please help save other innocent animals from becoming victims to this family. Urge the state attorney to do everything in their power to ensure these people are given the maximum penalties possible.
Dear Manatee County Attorney Mitchell Palmer,
Five emaciated horses were reportedly seized from a family farm that had previously been charged with animal abuse when deputies raided the place last year and seized over 300 animals. This is an alarming amount of animal abuse. The animals were, according to deputies, thin and malnourished. This is neglect and animal cruelty.
We urge you to do everything possible to help ensure no more animals become victims of this family, who seem to be frequent abusers. Help see to it that they’re given the most severe penalties possible.
