Stop the Cruel Exploitation of Animals in Circuses

Target: Mr. Anthony Albanese, Prime Minister of Australia

Goal: Ban the use of live animals in circuses in Australia to prevent unnecessary suffering.

Animals have been used in circuses for centuries, but it is now widely recognized that this practice is inhumane and cruel. The use of live animals in circuses is a serious concern, as it causes significant harm and suffering to animals that are subjected to a life of confinement, travel, and forced performances.

Animals used in circuses are often kept in small, cramped cages or trailers for long periods, deprived of their natural habitat and social interactions. They are subjected to physical abuse and harsh training methods to force them to perform tricks for entertainment. This results in physical and psychological damage, leading to poor health and reduced lifespans.

To confront this pressing concern, a prompt and efficacious response is required to impose a ban on the exploitation of live animals in circuses. The ultimate objective is to inhibit the wanton mistreatment and abuse of innocent creatures, thereby safeguarding their well-being. It is crucial to acknowledge that animals are sentient beings with inherent rights and exploiting them for amusement purposes is an egregious violation of ethical principles.

Through the ban of the use of live animals in circuses, we can significantly reduce animal suffering and promote a more compassionate and humane society. Sign below and demand the prime minister protect the welfare of animals and ensure their well-being.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Prime Minister Albanese,

I am writing to urge you to advocate for the ban of the use of live animals in circuses in Australia to prevent unnecessary suffering. The use of live animals in circuses is inhumane and cruel, and it is our responsibility to protect the welfare of animals.

Animals used in circuses are subjected to a life of confinement, travel, and forced performances, which causes physical and psychological harm, leading to poor health and reduced lifespans. These animals are often kept in small, cramped cages or trailers, deprived of their natural habitat and social interactions. The use of physical abuse and harsh training methods to force animals to perform tricks is also common in circuses, further contributing to their suffering.

To address this issue, we must take immediate action to ban the use of live animals in circuses. This will help to prevent the unnecessary suffering of animals and promote a more compassionate and humane society. We must recognize that animals have their own rights and that their exploitation for entertainment purposes is unethical.

We urge you to take immediate action and support the ban of the use of live animals in circuses to protect the welfare of animals and ensure their well-being.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  3. How using animals in circuses is still happening is beyond me!!!!!. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE STOP this now!!! Leave these poor innconect animals be and let them live the life they should be living!!! Fuck you Australia

  4. Andrew Wells says:

    Disgusting and immoral!

  5. Violaine says:

    Primitive country.

  6. Unlike human entertainers, exotic animals do not choose to join the circus, and should not be forced to endure these abusive conditions.

  7. Peter Bull says:

    God’s Creation Respect It…..👍🇬🇧🤓

  8. Have to admit that this still being allowed in Australia is a surprise. Time to catch up and end this abuse.

  9. Yet again animals used for monetary gain.
People go to see these circus shows mostly with their children to see the acrobats, tightrope walkers, trick cyclists, clowns etc.
And yes, the Elephants and especially the Lions and Tigers with the brave, so-called Lion tamer in the cage making them do things that no Lion would EVER do normally.
To get any wild animal to perform is only achieved by torturous methods.
I mean, how the hell can an Elephant be made (not trained) MADE to balance on it’s front legs with the back legs in the air??
I’ll tell you how” by torturous methods we can never imagine! The prime one is electric shocks until the animal begins to ‘ get the message’ shall we say so it gets to know what it must to do to stop the pain happening again!
Same with Lions and Tigers. Does anyone think that a Lion or Tiger would jump through a fucking ‘fire-hoop’ if it had not been forced to do so through torturous methods?
Of course it wouldn’t as this totally ‘alien’ for them! But this is less painful than what they would receive later on if they did not do it.
You can see that they do not want to but they KNOW what will happen to them if they do not perform.
So they have more sense that the shiney costumed bastard who makes them ‘ by fear’ of torture later on behind the glittery Big Top!
These outdated Circuses need closing down if they are using animals. Even horses!
If people would stop going to see these supposed shows then they would hopefully have to close down as there would be no money flowing.
If anyone or any groups could petition these shows then it would be a good start.
If the police were involved then so much the better.
This can only be classed as animal torture masked behind the glittery facade called a Circus!!

    • Just to add to my above comment. The Circ de Soleil DOES NOT use any animals in their show and seem to keep going with no problems.
If any of these other ‘also-ran’ Circuses were actually any good then they would NOT need to exploit animals to boost their profits.
Shame on the lot of you. Get your act together and STOP USING ANIMALS.
      Totally outdated!!

    • If only people would read your comment. If only people had enough sense and if only those shiny costumed Aholes would have compassion and the decency to respect all wildlife. Thank you for posting this!

      • Thank you for your reply Sister Patricia.
Obviously You think and feel the same towards these now outdated animal abusers hiding behind the word ‘Circus’.
Hopefully sooner rather than later these so-called Circuses will be gone forever.
I could go on as to how the fabled dancing bears were made to dance years ago although is possible that you already know! But if not, maybe would not want to know.
Again I say absolute power to any group or ‘fired up mob’ even, who could boycott these animal abusers (torturers) who do not give a toss as long as the money is rolling in, but at the expense of the unfortunate animals.

  13. Paula Long says:

The patrons are just as guilty by attending these venues.apparently they like to see animals abused.

  14. Laura Rolder says:

This is no life for these poor helpless animals. Shut them down Immediately and let these animals live in a sanctuary where they’ll be safe and taken care of And free from abuse and torture that they live through daily for human entertainment. It’s wrong on every level.

  15. Maria Lavorato says:

    Mr. Anthony Albanese, Prime Minister

It is unbelievable to me that these torture shows are still happening! THIS IS ANIMAL CRUELTY.

No-one should be making money of the backs of animals that are tortured and clearly MISERABLE!. As well people that attend are just as guilty.

Please protect all these animals and SHUT DOWN all these shows and make it illegal with maximum legal consequences! Please turn this cruel tide NOW!

  16. Cruel and inhumane

  17. Yet stupid people buy tickets and go. Stop supporting these animal torturers!!

  18. Bernhard Yolanda says:

am extremely angry and stunned by this meanness, disrespect, absolute disregard for the animals. that nowadays there is so much “legal” cruelty to animals and animal murders (circuses, animal parks, zoos, national parks and unfortunately also private households, etc.).
the money has to roll. for the damn amusement of the people.
and the poor animals always have to suffer and lose their precious lives… unfortunately

  19. People have to be sick in the head to pay money to watch animals be abused in circuses!!!

  20. Animals are not created to perform stupid tricks for ignorant and primitive-minded audience. This atrocity needs to be BANNED once and for all.
Take your kids to animal sanctuaries instead and teach them love and respect for animals.
