Dog Tied Up in Freezing Temps With Swollen Face, Neck and Jaw Deserves Justice

Target: Rochester Chief of Police David M. Smith
Goal: Determine who is responsible for dog tied up in freezing cold with swollen face, neck and jaw.

A dog was found tied to a fence in the freezing cold. The dog’s face, neck, and jaw were all swollen. There were also lacerations and older injuries, pointing towards additional past abuse.

“There’s some swelling, some lacerations and older injuries that we can say there’s some signs of abuse, but we still have to figure out what caused that,” said Reno DiDomenico, vice president for humane law enforcement at Lollypop Farm.

This is the second time that authorities have been called out to this particular address for a case of animal abuse. Not too long ago, Sharod Campbell, who lived at the address, was arrested and charged with animal abuse in a different case. It is unknown if Campbell even still lives at the address and whether he is responsible for the current abuse. He is still awaiting trial on the past case of abuse.

“We kind of have to backtrack now and go backward and start to get some information on who was at the location, what parties were there,” DiDomenico said. “We don’t even know if Sharod Campbell still lives there.”

While the investigation continues, the dog will be housed at a rescue shelter. However, “at this point, the animal still belongs to whoever owned the dog at 21 Iroquois. So, at this point, the dog is not up for adoption yet and what we do is we hold that until the court determines ownership and custody of that dog,” explained the rescuer.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Chief Smith,

A dog was found tied to a fence in the freezing cold. The dog’s face, neck, and jaw were all swollen. There were also lacerations and older injuries, pointing towards additional past abuse.

It is imperative that the police quickly determine who lives at this address and who is responsible for this abuse. Until then, the poor innocent dog risks being returned to their abuser.

Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

  1. Rotten POS SOB.
Tie him out, leave him there.

  2. Please PLEASE do not DO NOT return this poor dog any of the previous owner(s). There is a definite pattern of abuse citing ‘older injuries’ along with the newer ones that are very bad. It is more than obvious that this dog has been severely abused and neglected on many occasions and he is suffering so bad and in so much pain and misery. Unless you are able to find a loving kind caring person to adopt him keep him in an animal Rescue sanctuary so he will receive care and at least be safe. What is his name? He deserves a good name.

  3. Ppl make me sick, this is why I hate ppl, there us no reason why we should have to live in a world with MONSTERS AND THIS PURE EVIL !!!!

  4. Already been called to the same address & you asshole are not doing a dam thing! This asshole needs to be punish & pay for the abuse he cause this poor baby!

🥊🥊 This is the report on Channel 13 just 3 weeks ago regarding a second dog located in the backyard of Sharod Campbell ‘s residence 21 Iroquois Street, Rochester NY. According to the report on several news stations the case of his first arrest for cruelty is still pending. According to records obtained from City Court…the case was arraigned and pled back in July 2022. Part of the conditional discharge was that Mr. Campbell is NOT ALLOWED to be in possession of another dog until July 28, 2023. What has occurred 3 weeks ago would be a violation of that. And someone is NOT telling the public the truth. The case from February 2022 is NOT PENDING. What the hell is going on here? How many animals are going to be tortured at this location until law enforcement does its damn job?🥊🥊

    ⛔️ a bit more information…… ⛔️
Sharod Campbell appeared to be arraigned and pled same day. Never came back to court. They didn’t even try to prosecute him.
A condition of his one year conditional discharge is that he is not allowed to have dogs at his residence until 7/28/23 he plead guilty to a class B misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail but they dismissed the others for no reason
The Judge … LaToya Lee for Rochester City Court Judge
Doesn’t matter who the prosecutor was because they do whatever the boss says …

🩸For anyone interested in the outcome in court of the arrest of Sharod Campbell for torture, overdriving and animal cruelty of a dog I rescued from 21 Iroquois Street….
Sharod Campbell pled guilty to an unclassified misdemeanor and got a 1 year conditional discharge and served no sentence and got no punishment at all on 7/28/22
DA’s office offered him a plea deal and he took it.
They didn’t even prosecute him. They were just like plead to this and get no punishment so he pled to a lesser offense.
They didn’t NEED to offer anything! They should have thrown the book at him.
They offered a reduction with legit no punishment at all !!!!
The VICTIM is pictured below. I’m disgusted at the entire situation, particularly the punishment (or lack thereof). And it’s alleged to have already occurred again. Another dog in completely horrific condition removed by Law Enforcement from the backyard of 21 Iroquois Street on January14, 2023. As a community, we should be outraged!🩸

    • The sweet dog looks like a pitbull to me. Some owners of those dogs treat them like trash. They use them for dog fighting, and if the dog loses, then they kill them or abuse them. Dog fighting should be a crime of jail time, but it seems we have no laws for people much less for the poor animals.

    • This looks like dog fighting prep to me. What is “over driving”? I can’t believe they would even put a plea deal on the table. Corruption! Even the system is perpetuating this abuse! Makes me want to string him him up. His name is dirt. Karma

    • Let’s get five minutes with the dickless Sharon Campbell, bet that coward would poop in his pants. Small peen is syndrome, it makes him feels well endowed when he abused helpless dogs! He must have a small penis syndrome.

  6. This poor animal needs protection!!!! Whoever is responsible needs to spend time in jail!
No agency should be able to protect the abusers!!! We need more legislative protection for animals.!!!!

    • What the fuck is wrong with our system! That dog should be in a sanctuary. You f do not see abuser kids going back to their abusers hopefully.

  7. PROSECUTE THIS SCUMBAG TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW AND DON’T LET HIM OUT TO ONLY COMMIT MORE ACTS OF ANIMAL ABUSE. SOMEONE SHOULD CHAIN HIM TO A FENCE IN SCALDING HOT WATER AND LET HIM SUFFER. BETTER YET, POUR SULPHURIC ACID INTO HIS EYES AND LET HIM SUFFER AN EXCRUCIATING PAINFUL & SLOW DELIBERATE DEATH.

  8. Thank you Stacy Simons. According to that Facebook report, this piece of shit Sharod Campbell consistently abuses animals without any consequences. Someone will come to the defense of these innocent tortured dogs and I’m sure it will not be a pretty picture for this offender. People get tired of no justice for innocent animals. We are the voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

  9. Some laws we have are so f***** ridiculous!!! you would think who ever own the the dog would loose all rights!!! to this poor abuse dog!!

  10. transformation6891Janey says:

Speed your investigation up, I am concerned that the owner seems suspiciously like they are an abuser and in this case may have either re abused or left this poor dog with abusers. NO WAY should this dog be allowed to leave the facility until adoption is possible. Cruelty should not be downplayed as it sounds like it is being with Sharod Campbell… wake up and prosecute appropriately. Abusers should not be allowed a pet again ever.

  11. Nadine brundage says:

Why has that low life animal abuser allowed to own other animals? What kind of justice is this to allow that person who abuses animals get their dog back. Unbelievable. This is why animal cruelty is out of control.

  12. Joseph Kenosky says:

    Euthanize the perpetrator(s).

  13. PrISoNfOrAnIMaLaBusErS says:

OH HE’LL NO. THAT’S NOT HOW IT WORKS! This statement > However, “at this point, the animal still belongs to whoever owned the dog at 21 Iroquois. So, at this point, the dog is not up for adoption yet and what we do is we hold that until the court determines ownership and custody of that dog,” explained the rescuer.

These POS trash lost that right when they chose to do NOTHING about the abuse and/or tortured and abused this poor dog! The “owner” Would be looking for the dog had this been a pet. The dog is that state/city responsibility now, and going forward from now on. Everyone in that home charged period and NEVER get that dog or any other one. Past abuse and still allowed animals is disgusting, and total failure on behalf of those overseeing animal control or shelters, court system etc.

    • You are so right. Someone needs to take out the judge and attorneys who let this happen. Allow the dog to be returned to the owner at some point! Are they fucking crazy? Yes they are. This story make me want to blow them away!

  14. This image is heartbreaking. No animal should have suffered like this. Please DO NOT allow whoever is responsible for this to be allowed to own ANY animal. A lifetime ban is needed. Please spare other animals from this pain and abuse. It is up to us to speak for those and protect those who can not protect themselves.

  15. I think it’s time we need to start holding the judicial system accountable for letting these scumbags to get away with light sentences and then they do it again. Let the judge go to jail!!! This has to stop!

  16. This poor dog has suffered terrible abuse from this deplorable, evil, scum, pos. If he ever gets custody
of this helpless, innocent dog he will inflict horrendous abuse agaìn. Hopefully, the courts see the terrible mistake made with this monster. I wish for Campbell a life of torturous, endless pain that will help punish this coward.

  17. This rotten pos deserves the same treatment. Tie him up in freezing weather, no clothes and pour water on him. See how he likes it. He should never be allowed to go near an animal again! The death penalty for animal abusers.

  18. I think it’s safe to say that nobody at that address owns that dog anymore and if anybody there claims it give them some swift justice. If you do happen to find out, who did it, please do unto them what they did to that dog.

  19. This man is clearly an evil psychopath that never deserves to look at an animal ever again. Lock this mf up and throw away the keys.

  20. Brenda Collins says:

I am speechless. I cannot believe that these monsters get away with torturing these animals and their “punishment” is that they are not allowed to have another dog at the address for a year?!?!? How is that even remotely considered a punishment?!? These scumbags clearly hate animals! How are you hurting them by telling them they cant have one for a year?!? And WHO is stopping them from having another dog?!? The useless people in law enforcement and courts clearly dont give a shit about these dogs any more than the scumbags who are torturing them!! And to say theres a chance of the dog going back to its abuser?!?!? WTF kind of world are we living in?!?! Would you send an innocent child back to its abuser?!?! These animals are just as innocent as children and they have no voice! Its sickening that law enforcement can look at these abused animals and do NOTHING about it!!!! Makes me sick!!!!
