Target: Saginaw County, Michigan Prosecuting Attorney John McColgan
Goal: Ensure maximum penalty possible to person who threw emaciated dog from moving vehicle.
A severely starved and neglected dog was thrown out of a moving vehicle and left to die by humans who didn’t care about him. The dog thankfully survived, but was emaciated and his condition was so severe that he’s having to be retrained to walk.
Frankenmuth, Michigan police found the dog in the ditch and turned him over to the animal care center in Saginaw where he’s being nursed back to health. The Humane Society has offered a monetary reward to anyone who can provide information that helps lead police to the person responsible for this hideous crime.
There’s no telling what abuse this poor dog suffered from while in the hands of the owners before they decided to throw him from their moving vehicle. To neglect a pet to such an extent that it’s nearly dead from starvation and suffering is terrible enough, but to also throw him from a moving vehicle is sick and demented.
This poor dog that happened to be found by the right people and given a real chance at life deserves justice. Urge the Prosecuting Attorney to help ensure the person is charged with animal cruelty, neglect, and abandonment and punished to the maximum extent the law will allow, when found.
