  1. Regarding poaching of African wildlife; equally to blame is the incursion of farmers onto what was recently wild lands; the use of pesticides by the farmers; and the “retaliatory” killing of wildlife for their killing of livestock. National Geographic, a revered ecologically oriented institution for over 100 years, has worked with local people to help them develop ways to protect their livestock from “big cats”; also has worked to educate the local people in the importance of “ecotourism”……contribute to their “Big Cat Initiative” which is truly getting things done…..

  2. Lyla Richardson says:

Poaching really needs to stop. So many beautiful animals have come so close to extinction just because poachers want a trophy. This needs to stop. How can people get joy from killing another living thing? I really don’t understand

  3. Some of the poachers are paid by terrorist organizations which are partially funded by the revenue they get from ivory, from rhino horn (used in Chinese traditional medicine but worthless), for tiger bone wine (again, used in Chinese traditional medicine and again, worthless) etc……

  4. We have to find a way to keep these majestic animals alive!!! Whatever it takes I will help!!!

  5. “A righteous man regards the life of animals.” – PROVERBS 12:10; “If you have men who will exclude any of God’s creatures from the shelter of compassion & pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men.” – ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI; “Never, never be afraid to do what’s right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society’s punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.” – MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.; “I hope to make people realize how totally helpless animals are, how dependent on us, trusting as a child must that we will be kind and take care of their needs… (They) are an obligation put on us, a responsibility we have no rights to neglect, nor to violate by cruelty….” – JAMES HARRIOT; “The greatness of a nation & its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated… I hold that the more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to protection of man from the cruelty of man.” – MAHATMA GANDHI

  6. Gordon MacDonald says:
