“A skeleton”: veterinarians reportedly used this term to describe the condition of a dog that they examined after the animal died. The emaciation was apparently so severe that a body condition index given to the dog only yielded a score of one out of a possible nine. The examiners determined the cause of death to be severe underfeeding.
The dog also showed signs of two other diseases: parvovirus and aspiration pneumonia, the latter of which would have made breathing extremely difficult. The alleged lack of medical care given to the animal prior to death could be more evidence of long-term neglect. The woman supposedly caring for the dog, Deanndra Robbins, now faces animal cruelty charges.

A local woman has been accused of starving her pet dog to the extent that the animal was rendered a skeleton. She also may have done nothing to secure clinical aid for this dog after troubling symptoms of other ailments emerged. This animal was reportedly only provided food and taken to a veterinarian after the ravaging of the body turned deadly.
Please send a message that the care of any animal is not a hobby nor an inconvenience but a serious responsibility with serious repercussions if this duty is abandoned. Seek maximum charges and mandate mental health treatment if deemed necessary.

Deanndra Robbins is an evil monster. Lock her up, throw away the key…anyone who is capable of that kind of cruelty has no place in society. Since our justice system is weak when in comes to animal abuse and neglect, she likely won’t get the punishment she deserves. Let’s be sure at the very least she gets a lifelong ban from owning or having animals in her care.
I really feel that this is the absolute most vile form of cruelty. It takes so long to starve someone and to be able to continually ignore pleas for comfort and food is so despicable. This sorry excuse for a human that committed this most horrendous act must be punished in the extreme, prison and fines and never ever be near another innocent again ever. I only wish the punishment were up to me to dole out. I have some creative ideas in that department.

This heartless woman caused the poor dog to suffer and starvation is a horrible way to die. This kind of cruelty cannot be ignored and she deserves to be punished. I wonder how she would like to be starved to death.

As far as I’m concerned, mentally ill or not, this is NO excuse for what she did to this poor dog and this should NOT go unpunished. If it were up to me, I would say that the same treatment should be done to her and allow her to starve to death, but I know that will not be happening. This has got to be one of the most vicious and cruel ways to torture and kill an animal. Death by starvation. Deanndra Robbins deserves more charges than just a simple animal cruelty charge. This dog suffered a horrible preventable death. If I was the Judge in this case, there would be no leniency and Deanndra Robbins would get what she deserves.
That bitch is guilty. She deserves to be shot dead. Since that won’t happen, she must serve 25 years in prison with no early parole, pay a $500,000 fine, and be banned for life from owning or going near any animals ever again.
