Kitten Allegedly Stomped on and Thrown Across Room Deserves Justice

Target: Sheriff Wayne Anderson

Goal: Prosecute man who allegedly stomped on and killed kitten.

A man in Kingsport, Tennessee has been charged with aggravated animal cruelty after he allegedly stomped on and threw a kitten in front of his children. According to TimesNews, when Shaun Hardy visited the apartment of his ex-girlfriend to drop off his kids, he reportedly became angered because she wasn’t there. A friend was there in her place, allegedly because he had made frightening threats against his ex-girlfriend. As he made his way into the apartment, he spotted his ex-girlfriend’s kitten on the floor before allegedly raising his foot and crushing the animal. He then allegedly threw the kitten across the room, where it slammed into a wall. Unfortunately, the poor creature did not survive.

After this incident, it is reported that he vandalized the apartment, pouring Worcestershire sauce and flour all over the bed. He then walked out the door, leaving behind his terrified children and the woman who was staying at the apartment. When police arrived at the scene, they found the dead cat and subsequently charged Hardy with aggravated animal cruelty. At the time of his arrest, he was under another arrest warrant for a parole violation.

Not only does this act reflect a blatant disregard for a living creature, but it also constitutes child abuse since his children witnessed the entire event. Additionally, this sort of behavior demonstrates a dangerous instability that could pose a threat to citizens in the community. Sign this petition to ask Sheriff Wayne Anderson to do everything in his power to ensure that Shaun Hardy gets the highest penalty possible under the law.

Dear Sheriff Anderson,

You may have heard of the recent case in Kingsport, Tennessee, in which a man is alleged to have stomped on his ex-girlfriend’s kitten before throwing it across the room and killing it. He was reportedly angry because his ex-girlfriend wasn’t at the residence when he dropped his kids off, and the entire incident took place in front of them. The man, Shaun Hardy, was charged with aggravated animal cruelty.

I am writing to express my hope that you do everything in your power as Sheriff of Sullivan County to ensure that this man gets the highest penalty available under the law. I believe that this act is indicative of this man’s dangerous mental state, which could pose a threat to others around him. I hope that Mr. Hardy not only gets the sentence he deserves, but also that he gets the mental health treatment that he clearly needs.

  1. This creep is a dangerous psychopath with serious anger issues! If he will take out his rage on an innocent kitten, I hate to think what other innocents will suffer because of his twisted personality.
He belongs in prison for a very long sentence and never allowed near any animals, ever. I would also be concerned about his children and ex-girlfriend.
I am, also, somewhat concerned about the rageful remarks of some of these commenters, although I understand their hatred. The man is clearly a monster of the worse kind!

  2. That poor kitten never stood a chance against that monster! Please, prosecute him to the Fullest extent of the law, ,lock him up. He’s a very angry, dangerous man, who took out his frustrations on a defenseless kitten. Rest in Peace little one 🙁

  3. That poor sweet precious kitten! It hurts my heart so bad.

He should be denied access to children and charged with abuse. It is open and shut. I am retired investigator and this case is clear. Of course if he lives in a namby pamby state with no teeth…
