Goal: Give man prison sentence for allegedly beating dog and do not allow him to own pets.
Thomas Edward Grant was arrested on two counts of animal cruelty after he allegedly beat his German shepherd named Ginger. It is important he receive the maximum penalty so that other animals will be less likely to suffer if he is found guilty of this horrible crime.
Police said they discovered video evidence of the event after neighbors posted footage on social media. According to reports, the dog can be heard yelping loudly while the episode is taking place. Reports also indicate that authorities had previously been called to Grant’s home for similar accusations.
Grant is currently being held without bond, and Ginger as well as a cat were removed from his home. Grant may get his animals back if the current charges are dropped. Sign this petition to demand Grant be given the most time behind bars possible and to further insist he no longer be legally allowed to own animals if he is found guilty of these unthinkable acts.

Dear Commonwealth Attorney Taylor,
Authorities arrested Thomas Edward Grant after it was reported he repeatedly beat his German shepherd. Grant should not receive any mercy under the law if he is found guilty of such vile animal cruelty.
Neighbors said they witnessed Grant hit Ginger on many occasions. However, evidence was needed, likely because of Grant not being arrested for similar alleged tragedies. One of his neighbors, Kennon Joyner, therefore taped Grant while he was reportedly hitting and kicking Ginger and then posted the video on social media.
The dog was temporarily placed at the Henrico County Police Animal Shelter. However, if Grant’s case is not taken seriously, he may be given permission to take Ginger and his cat home and not be required to pay fines or spend time in jail. I therefore demand you seek the toughest sentence possible for Grant and that you further tell the judge he should not be legally allowed to have pets if he is found guilty of this needless abuse.

In a sane world, he would never be allowed around animals, children, or women EVER. At LEAST give him the max sentence and don’t let him own pets.

if this was captured on video, how in the hell would this man be not charged with animal abuse??? you got the evidence right there….and yet I read he may get his animals back and no charges filed?????WTF??? what kind of insane court system is in this state?? he should never be allowed to have any pets for life….and yet the neighbors complained before and yet nothing was done…..so this seems that animal services and the police department are too caught up eating donuts and not giving a damn about animals…..that’s a shame…..an eye for an eye….what’s done in the dark will come out in the light….you keep hiding behind your badges, an eye for an eye.
This POS may get the animals back if the charges are dropped…are you fucking kidding me! There is video evidence as well as neighbors who heard the dog crying! This lowlife belongs in jail and should be forbidden from having any animals where ever he lives and whoever he lives with also should not be allowed to have animals! Tomas Edward Grant must never be allowed to have nor be near pets/dogs/animals. He must be charged with animal cruelty and do jail time, no excuse. The evidence that has been taped speaks for itself.
If I were a neighbor of that POS coward, I would have done more than just filmed that crime of abuse. Though I would have also been on camera, it would be showing me, in any way legally possible, stopping him from beating that innocent dog & making a citizens arrest.

Protect these animals as they certainly cannot protect themselves. Isn’t that a legal system’s duty? Pass a judgment that he CAN NOT have animals in his hone or possess any animals. He clearly does NOT have any self control. Too bad Ginger do don’t remove his face for him. This cat and dog deserve a kind owner and should be loved not mistreated.
What I want to know why would anyone with supposedly common decency and sense even think of letting these pieces of crap, who abuse, neglect, hurt and kill animals, go in the first place and why do we continually have to sign petitions for them to do the right thing. UNBELIEVABLE!

When will our Justice system figure out these crimes need punishment to fit? These crimes just seem to be increasing because the POS’s know there will be NO repercussions. If there are repercussions they are so meaningless the POS’s don’t care.
