Shut Down Cruel Duck Factory

Target: Hudson Valley Foie Gras President, Michael Aeyal Ginor

Goal: Cease methods of torture used to produce mass amounts of duck liver.

Hudson Valley Foie Gras utilizes some of the most brutal methods of torture to produce large amounts of duck liver. Video footage and research of the New York factory confirm the alarming methods used to torture and kill ducks everyday. This factory needs to change its methods immediately or be shut down for good. Urge Hudson Valley President Michael Ginor to own up to the factory’s wrongdoings and take action to end the torture of thousands of ducks.

Upon arrival, the ducks will go though a particularly gruesome and heartbreaking process. After being placed in tiny cages with several other ducks, they will begin an entire month of daily force-feeding. This is done with metal pipes shoved down the throat and used to increase the size of the liver. The liver will become diseased and eventually swell to several times its original size. Once this process is complete and the ducks are on the verge of death, they will be brutally slaughtered.

These practices are sickening at best. Increasing awareness about this horrific factory can only benefit the ducks forced to suffer day in and day out. Please sign this petition to urge President Michael Ginor to take responsibility for the mass torture and murder of ducks and put an end to this vicious process.

Dear Mr. Ginor,

For decades, Hudson Valley Foie Gras has been the largest producer of duck liver in the United States. The website manipulates the consumer into thinking the ducks live on a beautiful piece of land, killed humanly and by using only the safest methods. This could not be further from the truth.

Each and every duck that arrives at Hudson Valley will begin a horrific process of slow torture and force-feeding. Denial and manipulation on the part of the company suggest a true understanding of just how awful these practices are. Unfortunately, a severe lack of compassion for both the ducks and the consumer is present as well.

The public is only growing more aware of the truth and demand for change will continue to increase. Hudson Valley must make necessary changes to meet humane standards or shut down entirely. Please take action to address and change the disgusting methods of torture currently being utilized.
