Dog Reportedly Found Hairless and ‘Screaming in Pain’ Deserves Justice

Target: Smith County District Attorney Jacob Putman
Goal: Prosecute owners of dog reportedly found hairless and “screaming in pain.”

A dog named Lindy was reportedly found starving, hairless, and “screaming in pain,” while being beaten by a disabled child with a stick. The parents of the child reportedly owned the dog and allowed this, along with even more horrific terrors to be inflicted upon this innocent animal.

A Good Samaritan apparently witnessed the abuse of Lindy and filed a complaint with SPCA East Texas, which immediately began an investigation. At the completion of their investigation, the SPCA, along with local police, moved to seize Lindy, as well as a 3-month-old puppy also living at the house.

Lindy was provided medical care, where it was discovered that she was also apparently suffering from both scabies mites and demodex mites. These reported infestations were so unbearably uncomfortable that Lindy scratched deep wounds throughout her body, which exposed her to secondary bacterial and yeast infections. As a result, Lindy had apparently lost all of her hair and built up thick crusts covering her body head to tail.

Although Lindy is on the slow road to recovery, her previous owners have not yet faced justice.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Jacob Putman,

An innocent dog named Lindy was recently rescued in your jurisdiction. A passerby apparently saw a special needs child beating Lindy with a stick while the poor creature cried out in pain.

Upon investigation, it was reportedly discovered that Lindy was severely malnourished and thoroughly infested with scabies and demodex mites. Due to these infestations, Lindy had apparently scratched wounds across her body which had resulted in secondary bacterial and yeast infections. Ultimately, Lindy appears to have lost all of her hair and thick crusts covered her body from head to tail.

While there are few details publicly available about Lindy’s former owners, if it is found that they are responsible for this terrible abuse, please see to it that they are prosecuted fully.

Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

  1. This disability of the child is obviously retardation brought on by being inbred by parents who are immediate family related & possibly retarded too. They need to be punished by the fullest extent of the law for this crime.

  2. These people all need to die a slow torturous death!!!

  3. Michelle Stewart says:

Those bastards must be severely charged. Each adult must spend 5 years in prison with no early parole, they must pay a $400,000 fine, and they all must be banned for life from owning or going near any animals ever again. All their animals must be seized & never given back. That kid must also be removed from the home and go to a group home for disabled children. The kid must learn never to beat, torture, abuse, or kill animals. The kid has to “unlearn” everything the stupid parents taught & allowed the kid to do.

    • I could not agree more. Sadly, animal abuse in this country is just not treated very seriously. The most these miscreants of parents will get is a hand slap. Perhaps a small fine, but they certainly won’t do jail time. Personally, I’d like to execute the bastards!

  4. Disgusting people. They all need to die a slow agonizing death…

  5. These horrible people need to get the maximum punishment. Who knows what other torments this poor dog endured . They’re raising and enabling a violent kid, disabled or not.

  6. why why why..please rid the earth of these imbeciles!
    ..kid include..sorry:)

  7. Such horrific acts allowed by the parents???
Cruelty to the max, justice for Lindy and please, those bastards shouldn’t be allowed to own pets anymore.

  8. This is inexcusable. Special needs is not a defense. The parents need to be investigated by child protective services as well. Something is very disturbing about this whole situation. Ignorance is not a defense.

  9. Cynthia Mattera says:

Please prosecute this horrible family! I dont care that the child is disabled. He should NOT be allowed to beat and torture an animal. These parents sound unfit!!!! Please prosecute them for animal abuse!!!!

  10. Their parents allowed this! I had a dmall dog in mu area who used to get hit and the 3 kids went running after him and hit him with a stick. I confronted them and spoke to a guy about the abuse. He had stopped to help. Nothingv was done and now this dog is dead. He ran and got knocked over by a car. I was going to take him in. Pieces a shit these people.

  11. Not only should the parents be prosecuted, they should be sterilized and their kids taken away from them.

  12. Rhonda Jones says:

Someone needs to be this helpless dogs voice and other animals as well. When humans neglect, abuse, and starve any animal this needs to be addressed with harsh punishment. If you keep allowing this to happen then the State they live in is just as bad as the abuser. In the long run who pays for the poor dogs medical bills and then has to find a loving home for them. People who abuse animals need punishment to the fullest. No exception period.

  13. Parents not fit to raise any kids. What that disabled child has learned (and how has he been abused?), has destroyed him for rest of his life. Looks like dog had stitches all down its ears…. and will he ever trust humans again? I feel sick to my stomach. Severe punishment for parents-PRISON — any children they have should be adopted by competent people who will attempt to undo the lessons the children have been subjected to.
I think neighbors throughout U.S., world, must be vigilant, to catch animal abuse before it becomes severe like this. Shocking, my heart is with that sweet dog, and will adopt if authorities will find me through my email.

  14. Disability or not this is completely unacceptable! They should face jail time, but my vote is euthanize all of the evil abusers. Justice is coming especially for the degenerate parents that are not teaching the child properly. They should NEVER BE ALLOWED TO OWN ANIMALS AGAIN, EVER,!!!

  15. It does NOT matter that the kid had a disability. It matters the parents allowed the kid to do this. Not only the dog needs re-homing. But .. the kid too (along with treatment for whatever it is they have or need). The parents need jail.

  16. THESE ADULTS SHOULD BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW AND NEVER ALLOWED NEAR AN ANIMAL EVER AGAIN!!!!!! THE CHILD THEY HAVE SHOULD BE TAKEN FROM THEM, AND THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED NEAR ANOTHER CHILD EVER AGAIN EITHER!!!!!!!!!

  17. Nancy Chiodo says:

These are two separate issues. The kid should have not been allowed to be near the dog. Heavy fines & jail time are in order for these subhumans. Remove the dog to a safe place & never allow these jerks to have another animal!

  18. What horrible ppl to do this. And to teach their disabled kid to do it is an even bigger black mark agaist these POS!

  19. Maria Bertrand says:

Thank you to the good Samaritan. And thank you for taking these two dogs from these crazy heartless people that are teaching the exact opposite of compassion to their child because they themselves have no heart.

Please punish them to the maximum the the law will allow….for all the pain and anguish they caused Lindy…..

I agree with you wholeheartedly Martha….

God bless Lindy and the other puppy with a full and speedy recovery….

  20. Evan Jane Kriss says:

Animal abuse is NEVER acceptable. The disabled child should be permanently removed by child welfare services, the parents should be remanded for psychiatric evaluation and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for continuous egregious abuse and neglect of this poor dog. They should be made to PAY ALL VET BILLS to restore the dog to full health and be BANNED from ever purchasing, owning, caring for, being near or working with any animals ever again. Despicable.
