Goal: Prosecute owners of dog reportedly found hairless and “screaming in pain.”
A dog named Lindy was reportedly found starving, hairless, and “screaming in pain,” while being beaten by a disabled child with a stick. The parents of the child reportedly owned the dog and allowed this, along with even more horrific terrors to be inflicted upon this innocent animal.
A Good Samaritan apparently witnessed the abuse of Lindy and filed a complaint with SPCA East Texas, which immediately began an investigation. At the completion of their investigation, the SPCA, along with local police, moved to seize Lindy, as well as a 3-month-old puppy also living at the house.
Lindy was provided medical care, where it was discovered that she was also apparently suffering from both scabies mites and demodex mites. These reported infestations were so unbearably uncomfortable that Lindy scratched deep wounds throughout her body, which exposed her to secondary bacterial and yeast infections. As a result, Lindy had apparently lost all of her hair and built up thick crusts covering her body head to tail.
Although Lindy is on the slow road to recovery, her previous owners have not yet faced justice.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear District Attorney Jacob Putman,
An innocent dog named Lindy was recently rescued in your jurisdiction. A passerby apparently saw a special needs child beating Lindy with a stick while the poor creature cried out in pain.
Upon investigation, it was reportedly discovered that Lindy was severely malnourished and thoroughly infested with scabies and demodex mites. Due to these infestations, Lindy had apparently scratched wounds across her body which had resulted in secondary bacterial and yeast infections. Ultimately, Lindy appears to have lost all of her hair and thick crusts covered her body from head to tail.
While there are few details publicly available about Lindy’s former owners, if it is found that they are responsible for this terrible abuse, please see to it that they are prosecuted fully.

Need to get rid of the parents and their psyco offspring cause this kid will be a future serial killer. It sounds mean because he is a kid but he will only be a burden and threat to society like his parents. Cull them out of population.

Miserable and evil people are in this world. How can u abuse an innocent doggy that doesn’t hurt anyone. Heartless couple they probably enjoy watching their son bit up the poor dog. She’s in pain and suffering with severe mites on her skin. She was so neglected by this couple they put them in jail for years for all the suffering they caused her. She’s so pretty! I hope she gets cured and healed up. I would have left be to bit them up myself…
Why do we keep signing these petition letters when these people abuse animals worse and worse on a daily basis and nothing changes with the laws. These people walk free every time.
I’m praying for Lindy and her rescuer. Well Texas, once again you have failed to protect innocent animals. I live in Texas and am constantly angered by the lack of enforcement in animal abuse cases. The parents need prison time for several reasons: first, animal abuse of a horrible nature; second, for just having another animal in the home to neglect; third, for teaching their child that abuse is ok. I am a retired teacher and have worked with many disabled children. Teaching them to abuse others in NO WAY helps their disability. These people do not need to ever have any animal, and since they are too stupid to raise their child properly, the child should go to foster care. NOW. This entire incident is disgusting. Publicize the names of these idiots. Why protect them?

I am so sick of signing these petitions while the laws allow this to go on and on. These people will get off Scot free because of the child’s disability. The child is going to be a phycho and they probably already have another dog or some helpless animal in the home.

I keep signing these petitions but would like updates to make sure people like these evil scumbags get thrown in jail and not just fined. Disabled or not that kid needs a beating and so do his parents. On another note why did the person just report it to the SPCA I would have gone straight in and taken the dog regardless.

These people need to be prosecuted then beat to death with a stick. Their child needs to be put somewhere because being disabled does not give you the right to abuse. If the parents have taught the child this they do not need to have a child. Punish to full extent!
Every day it just gets worse and worse…Every time I think i have seen the most horrendous thing someone could do to an animal, another more grotesque crime comes along. Who can change things? I sign, give to rescues and national organizations, but it seems endless

The abusers need to be thrown in jail and charged with the maximum that the law allows for animal cruelty. This includes the child too. Thank you for rescuing the poor little animals! Praying that Lindy and the puppy gets well soon and that they find a loving family.

Prison for all three. If the child is too young for prison he can be locked in a hospital until he is old enough for prison. There is no excuse for this. My only hope is that there is an in-depth investigation happening that has slowed the arrest warrant.
