Success: Cat Killing Vet’s License Revoked

Kristen Lindsey

Target: Karen Phillips, Director of Enforcement, Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners

Goal: Thank the of Veterinary Medical Examiners for moving to revoke the veterinary license of the doctor who murdered a cat.

Thanks in part to Forcechange’s Revoke License of Veterinarian Accused of Killing Cat with Bow and Arrow petition, the Alley Cat Allies announced recently announced that the Veterinary Medical Examiners Board has officially filed the paperwork to do just that. This is the first step in preventing this cruel and inhumane woman from practicing veterinary medicine again, and we must applaud the board for taking positive steps in the right direction.

ForceChange petitioned the Austin County District Attorney (Punish Vet Accused of Bragging About Killing Cat) to take action against Lindsey initially after an April 2015 incident wherein the vet allegedly shot and killed a cat in the head with a bow and arrow. According to reports, Lindsey lifted the dead animal by the arrow to have her picture taken, and then posted the picture on social media and bragged about the incident. Unfortunately, the District Attorney did not file charges against the veterinarian, but she was fired from the practice where she worked and the Veterinary Board opened an investigation of the incident.

The news that the board is moving forward to revoke Lindsey’s license is a positive step in the right direction for animal rights that will not only encourage stricter punishment for those who commit acts of animal cruelty, but also provide some justice for the horrific death of the cat, which was believed to be a neighbor’s pet.

Our work is not done, however. Lindsey is appealing the revocation, and we must continue to encourage the veterinary governing body to make the right decision and revoke this woman’s veterinary license. Let’s begin by thanking them for filing the necessary documentation.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Director Phillips,

Thank you for moving forward and filing the paperwork to revoke Dr. Kristen Lindsey’s veterinary license. The horrific act Dr. Lindsey bragged about on social media is a true case of animal abuse, and I appreciate the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners taking action against this woman.

I understand that Dr. Lindsey is appealing her license revocation, and I sincerely hope that the board will remain strong in its stance against Lindsey during her appeal. It is being reported that facts will be presented during the appeal, but the facts already presented appear to be airtight–Lindsey shot a cat through the head with a bow and arrow, had her picture taken with the dead feline, and bragged about it on social media.

Please remain resolute in revoking Dr. Lindsey’s license and thank you for your action against this inhumane woman so far.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. I AM SO HAPPY SHE CANNOT PRACTICE AGAIN….SHE WILL PAY FOR THIS SOME HOW SOME WHERE MAYBE NOT EVEN WITH HER OWN SKIN BUT WITH SOMEONE SHE LOVES…THOSE ANIMALS DID NOTHING TO HARM HER…KARMA WORKS THAT WAY

This coward heartless disgrace for a human being needs the most severe punishment that could be dealt to her.

  3. HALLELUJAH! That is WONDERFUL news!!!

  4. THAT FUCKING MONSTER, I JUST WONDER HOW MANY OTHER ANIMALS HAS SHE TORTURED OR KILLED. I WOULD MEET HER IN AN ALLEY ANYTIME.

      DEBY NIETO
      – Please get professional help.
Your rage is counterproductive to stopping animal abuse. Furthermore, your language potentially subjects all credible animal advocates to ridicule – which is also detrimental to the cause.

    • DITO,she’s young enough to regret it somewhere in her life if some doesn’t catch up with her first (we could only hope) I’ll always be looking for “Timothy Sappington” somewhere in the southwest, (Aizona-New Mexico) who thought it was a great idea to shoot a beautiful young horse in the head and put it on youtube, New Mexico’s government did nothing about it, I wrote them a scathing report on what their meaningless disgusting lives ARE, they wrote back on facebook what an UNFAIR COMMENT I WROTE ABOUT THEM!the pukeface low-life chinese wanna-be bastards, hope they all drop dead soon. Thanks for sharing your thoughts….

  5. Nena Miller says:

She is an embarrassment to her profession who takes an oath to protect and help animals. She has obvious mental issues

  6. Mary Connolly Pachas says:

    Agree with above comments.
She is a disgrace to the veterinary profession,ad
    No as a compassionate human.
Revoking her license is the least we should do.
but it is a good and necessary start.
wishing her KARMA,in all its manifestations.

  7. Don’t get too excited – this is only the first step. This vet may still get away with her vile actions. Only when her license is totally revoked will the petition have succeeded. And (even then) she may try to get work in another state or country, and “slip under the radar”.

  8. Debra Diana says:

May she rot in hell!!!! Or maybe a hunter will accidentally put an arrow through her head. Karma is definitely a bitch! She is a disgrace.

  9. Terri Smith says:

We must keep pressure on in this matter. Get license revoked and keep plastering her picture so all states will know who she is and not hire her. She really is a disgraceful human being.

  10. Cudos to Director Phillips for taking the only right and reasonable action against this woman. I so hope that she never again has the opportunity to work in any capacity with animals, she is clearly no lover of them, indeed appears to get sadistic gratification from cruelly ‘trophy hunting’ a domestic cat.

  11. Kae Blecha, OTR says:

Please stay the course in this matter. You must continue to police your own or the Board will cease to have any meaning.

    • Unfortunately “boards” should be what are used to tie people who sit on them to! Then “tared and feathered” (with artificial feathers of course) and dropped from one thousand feet up over China!

  12. Do unto others…. is that not what the Bible teaches? Anyone got a bow and arrow and Kristen Lindsey’s address.

(The above is not to be perceived as a threat or a plea for action, only for humans who have religious beliefs to really look at how they act)

  13. Lynn Covington says:

A big step in the right direction but it is not over!! Let’s keep our voices going loud & clear against this vile cruel woman!!!

  14. A continued effort to SHAME this INHUMANE CREATURE , would be helpful as a reminder to OTHERS who may have LOST IT!!!

  15. Heather Brophy says:

SEND THIS WOMEN TO Syria AND SEE HOW TOUGH SHE IS!

  16. IT’S HARD TO UNDERSTAND HOW A YOUNG WOMAN WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE A VET THAT HELPS ANIMALS WOULD SHOOT A DOMESTIC CAT IN THE HEAD AND THEN SMILE LIKE SHE DID SOMETHING REALLY GREAT. INSTEAD OF FEELING BAD BECAUSE SHE IS A MONSTER. I WOULD NEVER LET HER TOUCH ANY OF MY PETS AND I HOPE AND PRAY THAT NO ONE ELSE WILL EITHER. WHAT POSSESSED HER TO DO THIS?? WAS WAS THE EMPTY EXCUSE SHE WILL GIVE SHE WAS TOTALLY DRUNK, STONED?? JUST A PLAIN HEARTLESS MONSTER?? I THINK ALL OF THE ABOVE BUT WHAT YOU SEW YOU REAP AND SHE NEEDS TO KNOW THE CONSEQUENCES OF HER HORRIBLE ACTIONS!! TAKE HER LICENSE!

  17. Gamin Davis says:

YAY, finally some action on this. Overturn her appeal! Ban her from ever being around ANY animals again(although that will take more time)! I hope her regular patients started boycotting her as soon as they saw her original Facebook photos.

  18. Sharon Rushing says:

I truly hope that this “woman” is not only getting her license revoked but also needs to be punished, ie.. fined, jail, exposed. I wouldn’t let her near my pets or my children!! Please Texas Board Veterinary Medical Examiners don’t let this woman Ever have a license to be around animals again!! I can’t imagine how the owners of the cat feel but I sure wouldn’t want her as a neighbor and she would Definitely Not want me living near her!

  19. This SICK woman does not deserve the privilege of being around animals; nor do the beautiful animals in this world deserve to be anywhere near her. Why the hell would she become a vet ??? All of us need to make sure that she is never able to practice veterinary medicine ANYWHERE !!!! I’d also love to see this MURDERER in prison !!!!!!!!!!!!
